3 Musketeers are candy bars made in the United States and Canada by Mars, Incorporated. This is a candy consisting of brown, furry, and shuffled nougat. It's similar to the Milky Way (less caramel topping). The 3 Musketeers Bar is the third brand produced and manufactured by M & M/Mars, was introduced in 1932. Originally, it had three pieces in one package, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla; hence its name, derived from the novel The Three Musketeers . Rising costs and wartime restrictions on sugar see the gradual elimination of vanilla and strawberry chunks leaving only more popular chocolate. Costing five cents when it was introduced, it was marketed as one of the largest bar chocolates available, which friends could share.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the introduction of candy, Mars introduced 3 Musketeers Mint, the first brand extension, in August 2007. Also in 2007, Mars produced a limited edition "Autumn Minis Mix" 3 Musketeers. It features French Vanilla, Mocha Cappuccino and Strawberry. This was followed by Cherry 3 Musketeers for 2008, and Raspberry 3 Musketeers and Orange 3 Musketeers for Easter 2008. Orange is coated with milk chocolate, while cherries and raspberries are coated with dark chocolate.

Manufacturing

This candy is made of nougat stuffed with milk chocolate. The nougat chocolate center was first formed into a very large slab, cut to size, and once the centers were formed they were coated with milk chocolate through a process called "enrobing" in which centers pass through the vertical "sheets" flowing continuously from a temporary brown, at the same time, the churned and chocolate-covered wheels under the mesh belt lining the bottom of the bar. The bar is then cooled and prepared for wrapping. The candy was made in Chicago, Illinois; Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; and Newmarket, Ontario.

The nougat chocolate center is made by whipping egg whites until it becomes light and frothy. The sugar syrup is then added, stabilizing the foam and creating a "frappÃÆ'Â ©." Other flavoring ingredients are then added to the frappÃÆ'Â © to create a special flavor.

Marketing

3 Musketeers advertised on television in the 1950s Howdy Doody showed, along with a song that Buffalo Bob Smith encouraged the kids to sing.

In 1998, the bar's ads also featured three men dressed as the legendary Three Musketeers to market a "45% less fat" campaign. The Ad Campaign was developed by Will Vinton Studios whose earlier works were M & amp; M's Characters, The Noid and The California Raisins. The original product slogan "Big on Chocolate!" expanded in these ads to "Big on Chocolate, Not on Fat!"

Recently, bar 3 Musketeers has been advertised in television venues featuring women. The candy bar was promoted as "Nice, Light Snack" which featured "45% less fat" than other chocolate bars.

3 channels YouTube Musketeers

In 2015, Mars, Incorporated debuted a marketing campaign in the form of a YouTube channel. The campaign was developed and directed by Tribal Worldwide advertising agency, which describes the project as an effort to build relevance and recognition among Generation Z. While it is not uncommon for companies to enter the younger market through sponsorship or connect with Internet figures such as YouTuber , Tribal Worldwide says that they have tried to take the concept further by developing their own internet celebrity, as the channel is hosted by three teenagers chosen for the role, known as Emily, Buz, and G. Channels have been promoted through YouTube-hosted ads before and after a monetization video on their site.

The campaign is receiving various receipts. The first two videos channeled by the channel had a likes like 1: 1 likes, and some users expressed suspicions on the concept of a company-produced channel, while others expressed resentment at campaigns that used video ads heavily to advertise channels on other channels. videos. There are many who have supported the channel, and until May 2016 the company retained 27,000 subscribers. Many people in marketing have expressed interest in the concept of the campaign, citing it as an example of an evolving influencer marketing strategy, in which personalities or 'influencers' can more effectively advertise to audiences who trust them than expensive corporate advertising campaigns.
