Dice.com is a New York City-based career website with major sales and development operations in Urbandale, Iowa, San Jose, California and Denver. It caters to information technology and professional engineering. Dice.com is owned by DHI Group, Inc. (NYSE: Ã, DHX). Dice.com usually has about 80,000 list of technical jobs. The website claims to have 3 million registered technology professionals and approximately 2.4 million unique visitors each month. Of the registered users, 75% have a bachelor's degree or higher and 65% have 10 years or more experience in their field.
In June 2009, Dice.com advertised 48,000 jobs. By 2014, Dice.com advertises 80,000 positions every day.

Histori
Founded in 1990 by Lloyd Linn and Diane Rickert, two former contractors, Dice.com has 175 employees in April 2001. Currently, DHI Group, Inc. has more than 500 employees worldwide.
Chris Benner, in his 2002 book Working in the new economy: a flexible labor market in Silicon Valley, called Dice.com "[t] he is the most prominent site in Silicon Valley's high technology recruitment industry". Dice is an acronym for "Data-processing Independent Consultant's Exchange". In the book, Benner says "the image of the dice really captures quite well the kind of high rolling lifestyle desired by top class contractors."
Dice was originally a bulletin board service where recruiters would make a list of jobs open. Dice started operations in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1990. In 1994, the founders moved Dice's headquarters to Des Moines, Iowa. They then launched the www.dice.com URL in 1996. In 1999, Dice opened a career website to direct recruitment companies while continuing to serve the recruitment and employment industry. In February of the same year, it was acquired by EarthWeb.
In 2001, the parent company, Earthweb, changed its name to Dice Inc. In October of the same year, Dice.com moved its operations to Urbandale, Iowa. Then, in 2003, Dice Inc. complete the financial restructuring and become private. In 2005, Dice Inc. acquired by Dice Holdings, Inc. owned by private equity firms, General Atlantic LLC and Quadrangle Group LLC.
In 2007, Dice Holdings completed its initial public offering and its shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol DHX.
In 2015, parent company Dice Holdings changed its name to DHI Group, Inc.
In mid-2017 after an attempt to sell the company to private investors, it was announced that most of the brands were sold for sale so the company could focus on developing the focus of Dice technology recruitment, ClearanceJobs and EFinancialCareers.
