Delivery container is a container with the appropriate power to withstand shipping, storage, and handling. Delivery of containers ranging from large reusable steel boxes is used for intermodal delivery to wavy boxes everywhere. In the context of international shipping, the "container" or "shipping container" is similar to "intermodal delivery container," a container designed to be moved from one mode of transportation to another without dismantling and reloading.

Cargo containers are reusable transport and storage units for moving products and raw materials between locations or countries. There are about seventeen million intermodal containers in the world, and most of the world long-distance shipments produced by international trade are transported in shipping containers. In addition, it is estimated that several million of these containers have now been discarded because shipping costs send them back to their home ports. Their discovery made a major contribution to the globalization of trade in the second half of the 20th century, which dramatically reduced the cost of freight transport and therefore long-distance trade.
Special delivery containers include: High cube containers (providing additional 1 foot (305 mm) height for standard shipping containers), pallets, open tops, side loaders, double doors or tunnel-tainers, and temperature controlled containers. Other special containers, known as Transtainers, are portable fuels and oil transport containers. Mass hybrid fuel tanks were originally intended for construction, mining, logging and agriculture sectors. Tanks can be used to transport and store bulk fuel and hazardous fluids, by road, rail and sea.
Corrugated box
Corrugated boxes are usually used as shipping containers (over 90% of all shipping containers are of this type). They are made of wavy fibers that are lightweight, recyclable, and powerful enough to deliver a variety of products.
Wooden box
Wooden boxes are often used for heavy and dense product shipments. They are sometimes specified for delivery of government or military shipments.

Unit Loading Kit, or ULD, is a container used to transport cargo on commercial aircraft.
ULD can be a pallet or container used to load luggage, merchandise, and letters on wide-body aircraft and certain narrow-body aircraft. This allows a large number of cargo to be bundled into one unit. As this leads to fewer units to load, this saves the time and effort of the ground crew and helps prevent delayed flights. Each ULD has its own packaging list, manifest, or tracking identification to improve content control and tracking
Custom
Special containers are used for shipping products such as scientific instruments, weapons, and aviation components. Special bearings, blocking and strengthening, carrying handles, lifting rings, locks, etc. It is common to facilitate handling and protecting content. Often, these shipping containers can be reused.
Transit and flight case
Flight cases and transit cases are usually designed specifically for delivery and carrying fragile equipment: audio visuals, cameras, instruments, etc. Although generally light in construction, they tend to have reinforced edges and corners.
Road case
Road cases are often used for the delivery of musical instruments and theater props.

The widespread and relatively inexpensive existence of the intermoda shipping containers used at the time made the architects begin to regard it as an alternative to traditional building materials. Used used containers are converted for residential use, and as retail and office space. Examples of its use include the student residential project CitÃÆ'Â © A Docks in Le Havre, France; the container village Wenckehof in Amsterdam; Puma City portable stores in US cities; food and retail Boxpark in London; Bazaar Market in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan; and the temporary mall Re: START in Christchurch, New Zealand built after the Christchurch earthquake of 2011.
However, it has been shown there is a problem with recycling delivery containers, which may not be ecologically or cheaply cheaper as they may appear. Containers may be coated with hazardous chemicals such as chromate, phosphorus and lead paint, while wood floors can be treated with toxic insecticides, and some of the costs and effort involved in modifying the containers to make them habitable. Others have noted various problems such as space constraints, isolation, and structural weaknesses if too much steel is cut from the container.
